There aren’t many good places to drive RCs in my area. It makes me sad.

We don't even have any indoor tracks here. It sucks. The closest I know of is in Tacoma...

Is that carpet?

No. In the US, outside the northeast and distant past, indoor off-road tracks are clay.

Clay would be acceptable. Do they do casual driving or just racing? I might have to go down there some time.

Most tracks are open for practice on non-race days and outside race program hours. Just remember to share the track and drive in the correct direction.
I used to race at Bremerton, but Tacoma is just too far a drive for me to do regularly for racing, so my skills are quite rusty.
Another place to check out (call ahead!) is Mike’s R/C World in Bellingham. I’ve done a practice day there, decent track. But they close it and use it for airport parking part of the year.
